Visit Leyland and discover a bustling town, full of fantastic shops, cafes, restaurants, and more. Leyland is most famous for the bus and van manufacturer, Leyland Motors, which resided in the town between the 1950s and 1970s, and has since grown to own many other British car manufacturers, and is now known as the British Leyland company.
Leyland town centre has a good variety of shops, to suit all your needs, whether that's for food, clothing, or something else, there's a bit of everything here. Brands and independents are all together, so you can shop however you'd like to. The main shopping area in the town centre, which is ideally located for travel by car, bus or train.
The town has a great number of pubs and bars, in which you can watch the latest sporting events, whether that's football, rugby, cricket, or something else. There's always a friendly face to be found in Leyland's restaurants and cafes too, so if you're feeling a little peckish, there's plenty of places to choose from.
Leyland also has its own indoor marketplace, which opens a range of different days each week, offering fresh food, beautiful clothing, and so much more, with a number of stalls to visit.
The train station allows easy access to the nearby city of Preston, as well as Manchester and Liverpool, whilst the town is also located close by to Bamber Bridge, Euston, and Chorley.
