Visit Fulwood when lockdown restrictions are eased and browse through the shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses in the area. The area is known for being home to Fulwood Barracks, where the Queen's Lancashire Regiment has been home, and also for being the home of the local newspaper, The Lancashire Evening Post.
There are a number of shops around the area, with plenty of independent clothing shops, food shops, cafes and more, scattered throughout, along with a few small brand stores. The main shopping is Fulwood Central Retail Park, which is home to a small number of major brands, providing all the essentials you could need.
Fulwood Amateurs AFC is the local football club, and the area itself has a number of pubs and bars to watch the sport in, meaning you're never far from some sporting entertainment.
The Fulwood Farmers Market is a regular event taking place in the area, on the 4th Saturday of every alternate month, with fresh farm produce being sold by local farmers and other workers.
Fulwood is located very closely to the city of Preston, meaning it has easy access from Preston train station to Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool, and more. The many bus routes in the area also make the nearby areas of Bamber Bridge, Kirkham and Leyland accessible to all visitors and locals.
