About Fleetwood

Visit Fleetwood and discover the selection of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, and attractions that the town has to offer. Fleetwood is located in Fylde, and is famous for being a historic fishing port, with fish processing and commercial fishing still going on in the area. The town also has a beautiful coastline, with beaches and the promenade to walk along, and enjoy the sea view, as well as plenty of parks, sports facilities, and areas for recreational activities. Fleetwood also has its very own museum, detailing the history of the town, including its fishing heritage and how it was built as a brand new seaside town.​

Fleetwood offers a selection of shops, from food to clothing, books to electrical products, and has plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and takeaways to make sure you never go hungry! Fleetwood Market is a popular shopping destination as well, open all year, and home to a number of stalls, selling a huge variety of products. The town is also home to Lancashire Affinity Outlet, which is home to discount and outlet stores from big brands, all situated along the marina.​

The local football club is Fleetwood Town FC, which play at Highbury, which is only a short walk from the town centre, and there are also plenty of pubs available to watch the live sport.

There are many annual events in the town, including Fleetwood Carnival which takes place every summer, which offers a parade, floats, and entertainment, the fireworks extravaganza, which takes place every winter, and the famous Tram Sunday, which occurs every summer, with music, cars, and plenty of fun.​

Nearby areas to Fleetwood include Thornton-Cleveleys and Blackpool, which can be traveled to by tram or by bus, and Knott End, which can be reached by taking the ferry.​
