From plastic bottle to quality footwear Timberland introduces the ReBOTL collection
The environmental impact that each of us has on the planet leaves no one indifferent. For almost thirty years, Timberland has made ecology and environmental respect a priority. Today, the brand launches a new recycled material ReBOTL present on several ranges.
ReBOTL, a durable and breathable material
With an average of six to ten recycled plastic bottles for each shoe, the ReBOTL material highlights the brand's commitment in terms of ecology. This durable, breathable material comes from non-biodegradable PET plastic bottles, which Timberland has recycled and processed into rPET (recycled polyethene terephthalate) fibres. Thus, Timberland eco sneakers were created with 50% recycled PET. On the models of sneakers concerned, the ReBOTL technology is used during the realization of the fabric and the soles.
From plastic pollution to sustainable fashion, the new ReBotl collection of men’s recycled footwear gives plastic bottles a new lease on life. Each pair of eco-friendly shoes uses the equivalent of 6 to 10 plastic bottles. Blending lightweight and breathable Recycled Knit technology with an outsole made from recycled plastic bottles, this collection comprises five silhouettes, including men’s oxford shoes and men’s sneakers.*
