The Concourse Shopping Centre in Skelmersdale is looking to become a prominent entertainment hub after unveiling ambitious plans for an indoor venue.
WonderWorld is earmarked for the site's second floor, above the main shopping level.
It would include jungle-themed adventure golf, ten pin bowling, large ninja-style inflatable, a soft play area for toddlers, a VR room, amusements with dodgems, electronic darts, a cocktail bar, an American diner, an artisan-style street food court and a coffee bar.
The plans – which will create between 50 and 60 jobs – have been submitted as Ultra Star Cinema completes the final fit-out and decoration of its deluxe, two-screen cinema at the Concourse.
David Halliwell, director of Moorgate Developments, said: "This is a long-awaited development by many, which is why we took our research to a higher level, looking at the most popular entertainment centres from as far away as Australia and America.
"We really invested time into looking at what a family needs and wants to make a great day out. WonderWorld will also cater for parties and corporate days and will welcome all age groups."
