Black Friday sales have started early on the high street, as retailers this week began the battle to beat online competitors for the customer's attention and more importantly your cash. However. this year is different, as large parts of the high street are closed, the battle is taking place solely online. With the run-up to Christmas getting ever closer and no decision yet by the Government on whether the lockdown will be lifted in December, it is believed the sales will continue well past Cyber Monday.
There is a belief by some experts that the discounts will continue because in recent years some retailers have started sales earlier than the traditional Boxing day sale events. Then, of course, this is followed by the January sales. One thing is for certain in these uncertain times, there will be plenty of bargains to be had over the next 2 months. which may help lift some of the gloom we have all endured with the Covid 19 pandemic.
