We’ve expanded on our current Chinese theme and branched out to include cooking styles from all around Asia; including Malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Vietnamese cuisines.
Wok Inn is located in a beautiful seafront building, on Blackpool's promenade, directly opposite the North Pier - the location couldn't be better. The restaurant has an amazing panoramic view, which is perfect for watching the sun setting over the sea, with the warm red glow spilling in through the huge floor to ceiling windows.
The design of the restaurant is influenced by some of our favourite places to eat and drink, it takes its cues from the street food ‘Hawker’ markets of Penang mixed with the reclaimed building feel of Budapest’s ruin bars. These places both have a magical feel, something which we’ve tried to recreate for the people of Blackpool to enjoy.
Penang, Malaysia is an eclectic melting pot of various food styles, with influences from Indonesia, Thailand, India and China, dishes such as soup ramen and stone-baked donburi are two great examples of the depth in flavour which can be created when different styles come together.
During the restaurant renovation process we found some amazing original features which encouraged us to follow the ‘ruin bar’ theme, we’ve left as much exposed as we can, like the steel beams, brickwork and some beautiful ceramic tile, as we feel it adds to the character of the restaurant.
We invite you to come and take a gastronomic trip around Asia with us; whether it’s noodles, salad, rice or curry there’s something on the menu everyone will enjoy!
